Touch of Light Photography

was established by Aida and Michael La Point as the result of their passion. It was while traveling in the Dolomite region of Italy that their fascination with photography took a dramatic turn. They have enjoyed hiking and exploring mountains, canyons, and cities since they were very young...always taking photographs, but it was only a few years ago that they began taking it seriously.

Previously working only with 35mm cameras, they discovered the freedom of digital SLR cameras and they were converted.

Their personal photographic objective is to acknowledge and celebrate the existence of beauty - it is often found in unexpected or overlooked places and circumstances. Encountering "visual gifts", as they call them, are precious experiences available to anyone who decides to rediscover their natural sense of wonder in looking at the world.
These gifts await those willing to look at the world not unlike a child - with amazement and delight along with an appreciation for what we have been given.

Their style combines graphic finesse with an almost spiritual quality of calm and serenity. The passion and dedication to their craft are unsurpassed.

The root meaning for the word 'Photography', which is 'Drawing with Light' is exactly what they are trying to capture in their photographs, that “Touch of Light”, those fortuitous moments when land and sky seem to complement and echo each other.
